Usage plans

Every plan comes with a clear weekly energy budget.

A usage plan is the amount of AI energy your GreenPT plan includes each week. Starter includes 400 Wh, Pro includes 2.4 kWh and Pro Max includes 6 kWh. Every answer shows the energy it used, and your budget refills every seven days.

Why energy

A prompt is not a fixed amount of work.

A one-line question to a fast model and a 40-page report from our most capable one both count as one prompt, but the report uses far more energy. Counting energy keeps your budget fair to how you actually work.

  • Choose a lighter model for everyday questions and your budget goes much further.
  • Every answer shows its energy in Wh and its CO₂e, so nothing is hidden.
  • We count energy rather than CO₂e, so your budget does not change with the mix on the electricity grid.

How your week works

Seven days, starting when your plan does.

  1. Your week starts with your plan

    Your week begins at the hour your plan started and repeats every seven days. Because plans start at different moments, not everyone resets at once, and the service stays fast for everyone.

  2. Each answer uses a little

    The energy of every answer is added to your week. In GreenPT you see how much is left and when your week resets.

  3. It refills after seven days

    Seven days after your week began, the budget is full again. Unused energy does not carry over to the next week.

Example: a week that resets every Thursday at 17:00. GreenPT shows your own reset time.

When you reach your budget

Chat pauses. Your bill stays the same.

There are no overage charges. Your chats, files and settings stay where they are, and you can keep reading them. New answers wait until your week resets, or until you move to a bigger plan.

  • Agents and tasks that run for you in the background

  • Requests with your API key, billed from API credits
  • Opening and reading your chats, files and folders
  • Anything on an Enterprise plan

Usage plans, answered

Does unused energy roll over?

No. Each week starts with your full budget, whatever you used the week before.

Where can I see how much I have left?

In GreenPT, next to the energy of each answer, together with the time your week resets.

What happens if I upgrade in the middle of a week?

Your week starts again straight away, with the full budget of the plan you upgrade to. The same goes for a downgrade, from the day it takes effect.

Why does my week reset at a different time from a colleague’s?

Your week starts when your plan did, so it resets at a different moment from most other accounts. Spreading resets across the week keeps the service fast and avoids everyone starting at once.

Does using the API reduce my budget?

No. API requests are billed per token from your API credits and never count towards a plan.
